Many of the Cavaliers who come into GCCR’s care have had limited exposure to life in a typical home environment and may not have received consistent medical care or socialization. As a result, these dogs often require comprehensive veterinary treatment and extended time in foster care to help them adjust and thrive.

In most cases, the cost of medical care and rehabilitation exceeds the adoption donation received for these dogs.

We accept donations for several different reasons – it could be a memorial donation, a donation for our critical care dogs, in honor of a special person, dog, event, or a general donation to go where it is needed most.
